When God Says “No” to Your Prayer (3-Minute Womens Devotional)

How do you feel when God answers “no” to a prayer?

We’ve all been there and it’s all too easy to get discouraged.

I pray this minute devotional by my Mexican mama encourages your heart!

Devotional by Ada Santos

Go and tell My servant David, ‘Thus says the Lord: “You shall not build Me a house to dwell in.

1 Chronicles 17:4 (NKJV)

More than anything else, David desired to build a grand temple to honor the Lord.

David had great plans and every type of resource ready. What’s more, Nathan, the prophet, thought the temple was a wonderful idea.

Then God spoke.

God revealed to Nathan that David would not be the one to reach that goal.

The message that the prophet gave began with a no from God, but finished with amazing promises for David.

Instead of complaining because he was denied the project of the temple, David responded with great humility, gratitude and praise.

When you perceive that God says no to your prayer, don’t focus on your disappointment because your will isn’t done.

You could miss out on the joy of something much better happening. That which comes from doing God’s will.

God’s will is always richer and better than any other thing that you could imagine.
