Well, the plan was to upload the 1st podcast episode “(Re)-Discovering Our Identity—The Beauty & Security of a Life in Christ” yesterday, Lord willing.
But as we all know, plans (even the best-laid ones) don’t always go as we hope.
That’s why James tells us in chapter 4 verse 13-15, “Come now you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell and make a profit’; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that’.”
Well, long story short, my computer didn’t cooperate with me. (I’m using my phone to do this post.)
Its been evident for quite some time that I was going to need to buy a new one soon but was hoping it would hold out for at least a little while longer.
So until I am able to buy a new computer I won’t be able to upload episodes to the podcast. 😦
Good news is that the Lord reminded me of a very important truth. My mom had invited my husband and me to eat and spend a little time with our little niece and nephew yesterday, since she had them for the day.
Since I have a tendency to be a perfectionist, I was tempted to wait until another day and instead utilize that time to “perfect” the podcast episode.
But back when I first started the blog, I had resolved to never let it (or the podcast) interfere with or take the place of time spent with people in person.
Thankfully, God helped me win that battle with perfectionism and we made some great memories together!
What a disappointment it would’ve been to give up such precious moments to work on a podcast that wasn’t going to be possible to upload anyways!
Lord willing, I will continue with blog posts and be able to upload podcasts episodes soon!!
